From seed to smoke
TDR has a Research and development department and quality control laboratories run by highly trained tobacco experts. As a vertically integrated organization, "from seed to smoke", the tobacco Strategic Business Unit in addition to TDR includes Hrvatski duhani d.d., the company whose business is primary production and processing of tobacco, and Istragrafika d.d., which produces packaging. This enables TDR to produce independently and thus follow international technology trends, enforce high standards of quality control in own laboratories and generally control the entire value chain, from primary production and processing of tobacco to filter production and final production and packaging of cigarettes.
As a socially responsible company, TDR pays special attention to environmental protection. In 2004, TDR received the ISO 14001 certificate. All packaging materials are one hundred percent recycled. Total packaging weight does not exceed 28 percent , which earned TDR the "green dot" certificate.
State-of-the-art technology, as well as the process of monitoring and control, guarantee prominence of TDR's products in the market. The production processes and standards follow tobacco regulation which applies in Croatia and in the world.
