Rovinj, 17th October 2008 - In 2007 TDR has been the most successful Istrian company in the category of large firms, decided the Croatian Chamber of Commerce – the County Chamber of Pula. At the festive Award ceremony in the tourist village of Belvedere in Vrsar the Gold plaque of the County Chamber of Commerce was received by the Chief Executive Officer of TDR, Davor Tomašković.

"Without work we strive to contribute to the overall economic development of Istria and Croatia, and we are particularly pleased when community in which we operate recognizes and appreciates our efforts. The award is an additional motive and incentive to create new values for Istria and Croatia!” said Tomašković at the award ceremony.

For TDR the year 2007 has been marked by good business results in Croatia and the region as well as the company's increasingly significant presence in markets outside of the region - in the Czech Republic, Spain and the United Arab Emirates.

The trend of business expansion into international markets continued during 2008 with another step forward of the leading domestic cigarette manufacturer in the Italian and German market. By opening offices in Dubai and exporting the most popular Croatian cigarette Ronhill to Iran during 2008, TDR expanded business to the challenging market of southwestern Asia.
