Ronhill Unlimited Introduced: The first tobacco brand with an interactive packaging

Istragrafika won the CROPAK award for the best technical design for the limited series of Ronhill Anniversary Edition that was launched last year to mark the 30th anniversary of Ronhill brand. Istragrafika was also awarded in the prototype design category for the Black&Wine gift box.

For the purpose of advancing the business operations in accordance with the highest standards of environmental protection, TDR ceased using cardboard for cartons of cigarettes. By packing cartons only in polypropylene cover TDR advances its manufacture in accordance with the expectations of the customers and the development of manufacture technology.

Ronhill among the leading brands on the Serbian market

TDR, the leading Croatian and regional cigarettes manufacturer operating as a member of the Adris grupa, is about to commence with the building of a factory in Iran and to expand its business on the South West Asian market.

After Adris grupa won this years Golden Balance Sheet award of the Financial Agency and the award for corporate philanthropy of the association Donacije.info, and won the 12th contest for the awards Golden Stock (Zlatna dionica) and Golden Share (Zlatni udio), this award for the industrial stock of the year, the acknowledgment for successful business operations, was conferred upon TDR and Abilia as well.

International annual meeting of tobacco manufacturers and experts – CORESTA will be held in Rovinj from 04 to 09 October 2009.

After winning Golden balance Award ( Zlatna bilanca) by the Financial Agency and the prize for corporative philanthropy by Donations.info, Adris grupa also won the prize for the industrial stock of the year, along with the HT – Hrvatski Telekom (Croatian Telecommunications), Zagrebačka banka, , Podravka and HUP Zagreb.

TDR is the first Croatian company to be granted permission for processing and usage of waste for the soil sewage treatment for agricultural and ecological improvement.

Since it first appeared in 1979, it has been one of the most popular cigarettes in Croatia and the region, and throughout the years it has developed into as many as 10 cigarette brands. Except in Croatia, Ronhill is present on the markets of Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Macedonia, Kosovo, the Czech Republic, Spain, Italy, Iran and the United Arab Emirates.

Adris Grupa and TDR received the Golden balance award (Zlatna bilanca ), a prize awarded by FINA (Financial Agency) and sponsored by the Croatian Government, granted to the most successful Croatian companies. Adris grupa won the prize for the highest profit in the science, technical and professional business category in the year 2008, and TDR was awarded a prize in the processing industry category.

Ronhill, the leading brand of TDR is the winner of the Superbrands Croatia, the annual award for the best brands in Croatia, for the second year in a row.

In 2007 TDR has been the most successful Istrian company in the category of large firms, decided the Croatian Chamber of Commerce – the County Chamber of Pula. At the festive Award ceremony in the tourist village of Belvedere in Vrsar the Gold plaque of the County Chamber of Commerce was received by the Chief Executive Officer of TDR, Davor Tomašković.

Croatian tobacco producers will mark the 11th of September, the traditional Tobacco Fields Day. This is a unique event, which will be held in the area of Virovitica and Kutjevo, and will gather tobacco growers, buyers and production experts in order to present achievements in production and to improve the production process, yields and quality of tobacco. Through this year's event, Croatia will be presented as one of the most important European tobacco producers.

TDR, the leading cigarette manufacturer in South-eastern Europe, bought a 25 percent stake in Veletabak, one of the leading distributors in Serbia. Veletabak has also become the exclusive distributor of TDR’s products on the Serbian market.

TDR, the leading Croatian and regional cigarette manufacturer, is expanding its operations to the Iranian market. As agreed with the Iranian tobacco manufacturer, Iranian Tobacco Company, and the largest local distributor, Dokhan Parsian Co., TDR has obtained import license for its cigarettes and will transfer its technology and know-how in production and processing of tobacco from the fields of Podravina to Iran.

TDR expands operations in Italy where the first quantities of the most famous Croatian cigarette, Ronhill, were exported to. Ronhill has entered the challenging Italian market with Rich, White, Slims and Slims Menthol extensions.

Adris grupa has bought the hotel complex on the Katarina island, situated in the immediate vicinity of Rovinj. This investment secures an imporant element in the Company's plans to create the most luxurious destination on the Adriatic, also to include the renovated hotel complex Park and the future Grand Hotel Rovinj, whose development is planned on the premises of the former TDR factory in the town of Rovinj.

On the 11th of March 2008 in Kanfanar a representative of Lloyd's Register, Mr. Veljko Mahmet, presented TDR's Chief Executive Officer, Davor Tomašković, with the certificate for ISO 14001 environmental management systems which was approved on the 14th of February 2008.

Total revenue of Adris Grupa amounted to 2.188 billion HRK in 2007, representing a 10-percent increase compared to 2006, according to preliminary business results.

One year and a half after the beginning of construction, within the planned timeframe, TDR's new production halls in the industrial zone of Kanfanar became operational in mid-March, processing the first batch of tobacco and producing first cigarettes for the market.

TDR d.o.o., the largest tobacco company in the region which operates within Adris Grupa, decided not to submit a bid to buy the state-owned share of Duhanska Industrija Senta, a company which produces and processes tobacco.

In order to maintain the standard of quality of its prestigious new brand Avangard, a new-generation cigarette featuring innovative filtration technology of the Seletec filter, TDR has continued purchasing finest virginia and burley tobacco in the United States.

The Supervisory Board of Hrvatski duhani named Mirko Boić its new general manager at today's meeting held in Rovinj. At his own request, the former general manager Vlado Drvenkar was relieved of duty and left the company based on mutual agreement.

In accordance with the decision of the Board of Adris grupa concerning the new structure of the tobacco division and establishment of the executive director function for operational management, Davor Tomašković will enter on the functions of the Chief Executive Officer of the tobacco business unit.
