Pleasure crossing borders
TDR is the leading cigarette manufacturer in the regional market, with an 85 percent market share in Croatia, 38 percent in Bosnia and Herzegovina and more than 27 percent in the entire area of former Yugoslavia, where total consumption amounts to 59 billion cigarettes in a population of 27 million.
TDR is today a decidedly export-oriented company present in other European markets, for example Austria, Czech Republic and Slovakia. We are also developing a sales network in the countries of the Middle East and the Far East.
TDR's market share in Croatia
TDR owned 64 percent of the Croatian market in the middle of the 1990s. After taking over the second largest cigarette manufacturer in Croatia in 1998, we reinforced our leading market position by becoming owners of more than 85 percent of the Croatian market.
International sales
Along with growth in the domestic market, TDR is advancing its international sales. We achieved the biggest increase in sales in 2000, when sales grew from 3426 to 6177 million of cigarettes, thanks to the new markets in Serbia and Kosovo as well as a large increase in sales in the neighboring Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Since 2005 TDR's presence in markets outside of the region has become stronger, and our products are now available to customers in the EU, Middle East and Africa.
